Senior Associate, Development

Kelechi is a Senior Development Associate at Essence and oversees the day-to day development process of mixed-use projects. Prior to joining Essence, Kelechi worked with over four different housing authorities on several housing preservation and new construction projects, leading entitlement, community engagement, design and financing efforts for affordable and mixed income communities. Kelechi is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies. Inspired by his experience coming up in the Bronx, NY and working for several community and nonprofit organizations, Kelechi's passion is to help disadvantaged residents maximize their potential within their communities and built environment. When he is not spending time working towards that goal, he can be found volunteering with the Urban Leadership Institute, playing basketball or drawing.
